Canopy tent weights and wind protection

Choose and combine different canopy tent anchoring kits

Canopy tent Weights

Canopy tents of any size need the right ground anchoring to withstand strong winds. Find the right accessories for you and choose from our 22 lbs and 44 lbs canopy tent weights.

Particularly stable and safe

Canopy tent weight 44 lbs

The cast iron weights are ideal if you want to secure your canopy tent on the terrace, the balcony, on concrete, asphalt or any other hard surface. Thanks to the flat shape, the handy size of 13.4"x13.4" and the carrying handles, the weights are very easy to handle. For even more stability, they can be effortlessly stacked. Quick, easy and without any tools. You are surprised by sudden gusts of wind? Don't worry.

The weights can be attached to the canopy tent in no time at all. In a jiffy. Slide the canopy tent weight into the tent leg, place it on the tent foot - done. Our cast iron weights are galvanised and thus have a long service life. In addition, corrosion and rust formation are prevented.

Our tip:
Since it can never be assumed that there will be no wind, we always recommend professional securing. We recommend using the 44 lbs base weights for all canopy tents measuring 10x10 ft  or more (10x10 ft , 15x10 ft, 13x6.5 ft, 13x13 ft, 20x10 ft, 20x13 ft and 26x13 ft). For maximum stability, we recommend placing the 44 lbs base weights on all 4 or 6 feet of the canopy tent, which not only increases the weight of the canopy tent but also its support surface.

Safe and solid

Canopy tent weight 22 lbs

The cast iron weights are ideal if you want to secure your canopy tent on the terrace, the balcony, on concrete, asphalt or any other hard surface. Thanks to the flat shape, the small size of 11.4"x11.4" and the practical carrying handles, these weights are very handy and can be easily stacked. And if suddenly violent gusts of wind appear? No problem. Simply place the weights on the base plate of the tent’s feet. Your canopy tent will remain standing solidly on the ground.

Our tip:
Since it can never be assumed that there will be no wind, we always recommend professional securing. We recommend using the 22 lbs base weights only for small canopy tents (5x5 ft, 6.5x6.5 ft, 10x5 ft and 10x6.5 ft). For all other sizes, we recommend using them as an additional weight to the 44 lbs base weights, as this combination gives the canopy tent even more stability.

Canopy tent anchoring kit

Canopy tent ground anchors

Our weatherproof anchoring set consisting of 4 or 6 tensioning straps, 4 or 6 pegs and a hammer is perfect for soft ground, such as a lawn.

How to fix the canopy tent with it?

  • Attach the tensioning straps (each 10.4 ft long) to the loops provided on the roof and then to the pegs using the carabiner.
  • Anchor the sturdy pegs (made of 1.1x0.4” thick, spiral-shaped flat iron, length: 1.9 ft) in the ground with a hammer.
  • Pull the tensioning strap tight with the ratchet.

Our tip:

As it can never be assumed that there will be no wind, we always recommend professional securing. For best hold, the tensioning straps should run at an angle of approx. 45° to the ground. Use the tensioning straps and pegs together with the canopy tent weights  to achieve even greater stability.

Securing the canopy tent to the Ground With Screws

If drilling holes in the ground is not a problem for you, we have thought of something to make your work easier... The feet of our canopy tents already have holes for screws, so you don't have to drill them.
Simply follow the points below to anchor your canopy tent securely to the ground and sleep soundly in bad weather.

  1. Hard surface: on asphalt and pavements, use at least 4” long screws.
  2. Soft surface: for lawns and in gardens, use at least 15.7” long screws.
